James Brohan
Born in Dublin in 1952, it was not until a move to Wicklow in 1976 that James began to paint.
He studied with Yan Goulet RHA, Liam Tracey NCA and Desmond Carrick RHA.
He is influenced and inspired by every Irish subject matter and, as an artist, it is vital for him to capture what he sees as the disappearing Ireland, which will be gone all too soon.
Modernisation is discreetly pushed aside allowing the viewer to reminisce through his impressionistic light infused art to reveal a bygone era that is both evocative and ephemeral.
